In addition to our 16 house taps, we’ve partnered with Ryan Brubaker of Brubaker Acres to bring premier whiskey to downtown Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Our selection includes a wide variety of top whiskeys…and a few elusive ones too. Whether you like your bourbon neat or over ice, we have you covered. Curious to try a few different options? Go ahead and get yourself a flight. Looking for something a little sweeter? We’ve got Blanton’s barrel aged cherries, bitters, and syrup to make you the best Old Fashioned you’ve had yet.
Follow us on Facebook for updates from the bourbon bar.
Join us in the taproom for the best live music scene in the Grand Rapids and Itasca area. From local luminaries like Wild Horses to open mic night, live music is our jam.
Jason grew up on the family farm north east of Effie…. he did plenty of animal chores as well as logging with his father. In his teenage years he decided to simplify things by putting a new floor in his great grandpas wooden grainery and lived in it. It was 16ft long by 10ft wide. Side walls were 4ft high. (No windows)… He towed it out in in the middle of the field, put a barrel stove in the end without the door and started using only draft horses. He put in a 1 and a half acre garden and had 2 milking cows.
In addition to simple, off the grid living, Jason always enjoyed singing and he started playing guitar when he was 27 years old. Some local music veterans helped him start a band about five years ago. And he’s been enjoying playing ever since!
Some of the artists Jason likes to play are :
Tyler Childers Hank Jr Colter Wall Buck Owens Hank 3 Waylon Jennings Johnny Cash... See MoreSee Less

I moved to Aitkin, MN about 22 years ago where I got married . I'm a member if KAXE and my green cheese name is Aitkin Chicken Coop.
